| About Us and Our Farm Business |
|
We have recently taken on a farm tenancy, a lifelong ambition! The beautiful farm, which is home to the locally known Wittenham Clumps in Oxfordshire, lies next to the River Thames and is home to 250 sheep and a lot of wildlife! Our sheep give birth to their lambs in January and March. They graze on grass, clover and flower rich meadows. We sell our lamb at local farmers markets and from the farm. The conservation farm is owned by the Northmoor Trust who are probably best known for managing the Little Wittenham Nature Reserve which is a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest. One third of the land is woodland, one third is nature reserve enjoyed by both wildlife and people with its many wonderful walks and trails, and the rest is farmland. |
